February is off to a great start. With it being a short month, we have lots to do in a little bit of time.  We are having so much fun celebrating Mardi Gras. Our very own Krewe de Primary Colors will roll today through the school halls. It is a sight to see and so much fun!!  We will move from Mardi Gras into more learning fun for the rest of February.  We are busy learning our letters, numbers, colors, Spanish and more.

February is Dental Health Month as well and we are excited to learn all about keeping our teeth clean and why that is so important. We will end the month with Bippo the Hippo visiting our school.

Check out these fun dental facts:

  • Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the human body.
  • Like fingerprints, everyone’s tongue print is different
  • If you’re right-handed, you will chew your food on your right side. If you’re left-handed, you will tend to chew your food on your left side.
  • If you don’t floss, you miss cleaning 40% of your tooth surfaces. Make sure you brush and floss twice a day!
  • The average person only brushes for 45 to 70 seconds a day, the recommended amount of time is 2-3 minutes.

We hope that everyone has a great February!
